Rosie, the school's therapy dog, and Ms. Gillette visit the Summer Adventure Program to talk about Rosie's job here at school during their Animal Planet-themed week. Students learned about various animals, from farm animals, zoo animals, pets and animals in nature, and animals with jobs!

Students at NCSD are permitted to take Chromebooks home for them for the summer months. Any student that wishes to return their device to the district for the summer months should do according to the information below.
Seniors-must return Chromebooks on Monday, June 12 to HS Room 106
Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshman: May take devices home for the summer. Students can return devices if they do not wish to take them home for the summer on Tuesday, June 13th to HS Room 106. Students must return chargers as well.
Middle School students: May take devices home for the summer. Students that wish to return devices to the school for the summer months will do so during home base on Thursday, June 22nd. Students must return chargers as well.
Elementary students: May take devices home for the summer. Students that wish to return devices to the school for the summer months will leave devices with their homeroom teacher the last week of school June 20-June 22. Students must return chargers as well.

Our Pre-K and K students got to experience a performance by "Dusty and Dot." Dusty & Dott are committed to creating an environment that is welcoming and supportive of all identities. Through storytelling and the magic of puppetry, Dusty & Dott celebrate curiosity and encourage the values of creative play.
A reminder that NCSD has purchased Bark Jr. licenses for all students in the district with state grant funds. Caregivers will receive an email Wednesday morning with a link for you to utilize the app. Kaden Judd from Bark will host a one hour session Wednesday evening, May 17th, beginning at 7 to support parents that need assistance setting up the app and to answer any questions you might have

VARSITY BASEBALL CAN AND BOTTLE DRIVE
The Newfield varsity baseball team is hosting a can and bottle drive this Saturday, April 22nd from 10am until noon in front of the HS. Please support the team by donating NYS returnable cans and bottles. It is a great opportunity to clear out your garage or storage shed as part of Spring cleaning.
If needed, we can arrange for local pickup from homes or businesses this Saturday between 10am and noon. Please reach out to Coach Valentine @ ivalentine@newfieldschools.org to make these arrangements.

Spring has sprung at Newfield Elementary. Mrs. Wall's 2nd-grade class hatched spring chickens, and our therapy dog Rosie met a few of them yesterday.
