Students in our After School Program are using challenge cards to build creative Lego structures, strengthening their creativity and critical thinking skills! Way to go Green Group! 💚

This year we were able to hold our first district wide giving tree and it was a huge success. We were able to get 159 donations! All of the donations were given to the Newfield Baptist Church Clothing Closet. They were able to give out the donations to people in our community in need and people from other communities. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Students traveled back in time to the Stone Age (more than 17,000 years ago!) and explored how animals were central to prehistoric life. After listening to The Cave Painter of Lascaux, students then became cave painters themselves, creating animal drawings inspired by real cave art!

We’re nearing the midpoint of the school year! Please note the following important dates and details for Newfield High School:
📌 No School – Monday, January 19
In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
📝 Regents & Midterm Exams
📅 Tuesday, January 20 – Friday, January 23, 2026
➡️ Regular classes will NOT be in session
➡️ Students should attend ONLY if they are scheduled for a Regents exam, a midterm exam, or a Regents retake
✅ BOCES CTE, Smith School, RAS & Alternate Placements will run on a normal schedule
🚌 Busing Information
• Morning & afternoon buses run as usual
• Mid-day buses (if needed):
⏰ Arrive by 11:30 a.m.
⏰ Depart at 12:00 p.m.
• Transportation sign-ups are required with teachers by January 13
