New York State is changing what it means to graduate from high school, and we want families to hear about it from us.
In July 2025, the state Board of Regents adopted a Portrait of a Graduate: six things every New York graduate should be able to do. The state is also planning one high school diploma, starting with students who graduate in 2028. Regents exams will still be given, but passing a set of them will no longer be a separate diploma requirement. Those rules are still being written.
What hasn't changed: this year's graduation requirements stay the same, and students keep taking Regents exams as scheduled.
Over the next 12 weeks, we'll share one piece of the Portrait at a time. In January, our students will meet it too. Questions? Contact your child's school.

Students were shown the process of turning fresh apples into cider before getting a chance to add the apples to the press themselves. After the pressing was finished, everyone got to enjoy a delicious cup of freshly pressed cider! 😋🍂
But tasting the flavors of the fall harvest isn’t just for our students, don’t forget to join us at the 3rd Annual Harvest Dinner on November 5th at 6PM in the Highschool cafeteria! 🍽️
