Hello Newfield Families,
This Friday, September 20, we will celebrate one of our former students, Aasen May. Aasen passed unexpectedly this summer. She was kind, hard-working, and an inspiration to many. She loved school. To pay tribute, we will be wearing Aasen’s favorite color, purple. This year, our motto is MAKE IT COUNT, something Aasen did each and every day. Thank you!

Middle School Picture Day has been rescheduled.
Hello Middle School families, due to unforeseen circumstances our picture day has been rescheduled to October 24 with a retake day on November 12. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Good morning Newfield Middle School families,
On Monday after school, there will be a meeting with any student interested in being part of the Middle School Drama production. Please contact our Drama Director, Cindy Richard with questions.
Also, our after-school homework help will be available beginning this Monday, September 9th. If your child needs any help or support with assignments in any area, we have a teacher here to help. Please call the office if you have any questions.
Thank you for your support! Have a wonderful weekend!

Dear 6th Grade Families,
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding the upcoming 6th grade orientation on the 29th.
In light of recent events and the needs of our community, we will be extending the orientation to provide additional support for both students and parents. The orientation will now run from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a dedicated hour from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM for counseling services and support.
During this extended time, we will offer resources and counseling for families who may need help discussing how to cope with grief and what to expect throughout the school year. This will be a valuable opportunity for you to connect with professionals and gather information that can assist you and your child in navigating this transition.
We understand that this can be a challenging time, and our goal is to ensure that everyone feels supported and prepared as we begin the new school year together.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. We are here to assist you in any way we can.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
Melissa Addy
Newfield Middle School Principal

"Newfield is SWEET on “Willy Wonka”
“Come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination. Take a look and you’ll see into your imagination. We’ll begin with a spin traveling in the world of my creation. What we’ll see will defy explanation ....”
Follow Willy Wonka’s advice and come see the Newfield Trojan Masquers as they bring to life Roald Dahl’s classic story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir, in this entertaining musical adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. During Wonka’s search, he shows us that “a little nonsense, now and then, is relished by the wisest men.”
“Willy Wonka”has a talented cast, crew, and band, which is made up of students, faculty/staff, and family members, all of whom are very excited to share this colorful tale with the Newfield audience. So, bring your sweet tooth to the Vincent Aiosa Auditorium on March 22 & 23 at 7 P.M. or March 24 at 4 P.M. You can get your “golden ticket” at the door [adults - $10.00; senior citizens - $5.00; students - $5.00.].
“Oompa-Loompa Doompadee Dee, ‘Willy Wonka’ is the show to see!”
"

The Newfield MS & HS Band will join the Ithaca Concert Band to perform a concert on our stage in the Vince Aiosa Auditorium at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 26th. Free and open to the public
