Good morning,
Due to there being possible freezing rain, we will be having a two-hour delay. All bus pick-ups will move forward two hours. The elementary school will open at 9:40 and the middle/high school will open at 10:30.
All students attending programs other than Newfield CSD, will be taken two hours later. This includes RAS, P-Tech at TC3, all day TST BOCES students, GST BOCES students, George Jr., New Visions, and New Roots.
The morning Career and Tech students will not have their AM program and need to report to school by 11:30. If you do not have a ride to come in at 11:30, you may be picked up two hours later and ride to BOCES and back to Newfield for your afternoon classes.
Afternoon Career and Tech Students will attend BOCES as scheduled.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during these times.

Good morning Middle School Families,
I am sad to report that our photography company was a no show yesterday. We didn't want all of those fresh haircuts and fancy clothes to go to waste so, we were able to have a few staff members that are photographers on the side, take some pretty amazing pictures yesterday, outside. They will be available to you at no charge. We still have the November 12th date as our original retake day. The company is now scheduled to come on that day to take pictures for you to purchase if you would like to do so. They should be sending an email to your 3-4 days prior to the 12th.
If you have any questions, please let us know,
Sincerely,
Melissa

MS Picture Day reminder and clarification:
Picture Day is scheduled for this WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23.

A few Middle School updates:
On Friday 10/4, all middle school students will be given a new, modified schedule. We have made some adjustments to students schedules based on this year’s star scores and students’ learning needs. Please know these changes are based on data to help our students improve literacy and math skills. We are looking forward to seeing the growth in our students this year.
Newfield Middle School also moved to 10 week marking periods this year. All students will receive a full report card every 10 weeks. At the 5 week mid marking period, students who are struggling to be successful in any of their classes will receive a Progress Report. This report will be sent home only for any student who is currently not in good standing and may be at risk of failing their classes. If you would like to see your child’s “in progress” grade, you can do so in the School tool parent portal. School tool is available on our website but also as an app for your mobile device. Every student and parent has access to School tool using their log in credentials. If you are unable to log in, please contact Amy Porter in the main office.
Spirt Week is next week! Please see our October Newsletter for details!
