Newfield's new Capital Project Webpage

The Newfield Central School District has launched a dedicated webpage to provide families, staff, and community members with up-to-date information and visuals about the ongoing 2024 Capital Project.

The new page, available now at www.newfieldschools.org/capitalproject, is designed to serve as a centralized hub for construction updates, future plans, and behind-the-scenes details about the improvements taking place across the district.

“This is more than a facilities upgrade, it’s about making our schools safer, more functional, and better suited for the future,” said Perry Gorgen, Business Administrator. “We created this page to help our community stay informed and see the purpose behind every improvement.”

What You’ll Find on the Page:

  • An overview of key projects across the elementary, middle/high school, stadium, and bus garage

  • Renderings and diagrams showing redesigned traffic flow and drop-off zones

  • Information about ADA upgrades, office relocations, field drainage systems, and HVAC improvements

  • A video update highlighting recent construction milestones

  • Downloadable documents and visual assets for those who want a closer look

One of the webpage’s standout features is a collection of detailed concept maps that provide a clear visual overview of the improvements planned across campus, including traffic circulation, building entrances, and athletic areas. Another key feature is the “Latest Updates” section, which links directly to Smith Site Development’s dedicated Newfield progress page. There, visitors can view construction updates, timelines, and drone footage documenting the evolving site work, such as field drainage installation, fencing around the track, and preparation for the upcoming parking lot transformation.

The webpage is part of the district’s broader effort to provide transparent, ongoing communication throughout the construction timeline, which is expected to continue through summer 2026.

Stay Connected

In addition to the website, the district will continue to share updates via Thrillshare, including notices about changing traffic patterns or other time-sensitive construction details that may affect student drop-off, parking, or building access.

“Clear communication is key,” Gorgen added. “We want families to know what’s happening, why it matters, and how it’s going to make a difference for students and staff alike.”
