Art in the Park to Feature Student Artwork at Newfield Music Series Concert

Art in the Park, a free community event featuring local students and musicians, will come  to Mill Park on Wednesday June 28th,  from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. The event will feature a performance by Rena Guinn, a local singer-songwriter from as well as artwork from Newfield students including Riley White and Amy Monahan’s middle school art classes.

“We’re excited to display Art in the Park this year,” said JT Tompkins, Mill Park Music Series organizer. “It’s a great opportunity for people to come out and enjoy the park, listen to some great music, and see some amazing artwork.”

The student artwork will be on display throughout the park and gazebo.

“We’re so proud of our students’ work,” said Monahan. “They’ve put a lot of time and effort into their pieces, and we think they’re really beautiful.”

The Newfield Music Series is a free concert series that takes place in Mill Park throughout the summer. The series features a variety of local musicians, and is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and some live music.

“We’re always looking for new ways to engage the community,” said Tompkins. “Art in the Park is a great way to do that, and we hope to see a lot of people out there.”
