The school bus was traveling south on Route 13 when another vehicle entered the roadway from Protts Hill Road, a seasonal road, and was unable to stop before entering the bus lane of traffic. Newfield Central School District would like to first thank the Newfield CSD Transportation Department and the staff members on the bus for their adherence to safety protocols and training, helping to ensure the safety of our students. We would also like to thank local first responders and emergency crews for their prompt response and assistance.
