The Newfield Central School District is inviting proposals from eligible community-based child care providers interested in partnering to deliver Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) services for the 2025–2026 school year, with possible extensions through 2027–2028. This opportunity is part of New York State’s mixed-delivery UPK model, which encourages school districts to collaborate with local organizations to expand access to high-quality early childhood education.

Details of the Request for Proposal (RFP) for UPK Program Services:
Release Date: May 19, 2025
Proposal Deadline: June 6, 2025, by 1:00 p.m. (EST)
Implementation Period:
Year 1: July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
Year 2: (Optional) July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027
Year 3: (Optional) July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2028
Program Requirements:
Up to 39 full-day slots for four-year-old children
At least 180 instructional days aligned with the district calendar
Services delivered at the provider’s own facility
Compliance with all applicable NYSED and NYCRR standards

Proposals will be assessed based on provider capacity, staff experience, health and safety compliance, support for English Language Learners and children with disabilities, and more.
