VACANCIES FOR 2016-17 SCHOOL YEAR

LTS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - Elementary special education certified teacher to substitute from September-December for a fifth grade co-teaching position. Co-teach with fifth grade ELA and Math teachers as well as work with special education students in a resource setting. Apply via OLAS by July 31, 2016.
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - Teacher needed who is certified to instruct HS special education students in Resource Room, co-teach Global 9 and act as consultant teacher in math classrooms. Apply via OLAS by July 15, 2016.
MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH TEACHER - Seeking enthusiastic math-oriented teacher for team-centered middle school. Experience with current NYS curriculum and co-teaching a plus. Anticipated opening September 2016. Must hold appropriate NYS certification (Elementary and/or Math Generalist 5-9). Apply via OLAS by July 27, 2016.

CLEANER(S) - full time 12-month positions to clean school buildings as assigned and provide maintenance as directed. Duties include general cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, offices and hallways and occasional minor maintenance tasks. May also be required to set up and provide support during special events. Works under the direct supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor. Will likely be assigned second shift. TEACHER AIDE - There is currently a vacancy for Teacher Aide to supervise students during lunch and recess at both the high school and elementary levels as well as provide coverage in the health offices. The Teacher Aide should provide structure for safety and well-being of students during recreational activity. This as a non-competitive, part time 10-month position working under the direct supervision of the building principal. The position is anticipated to be five days per week, 5.5 hours per day. A Civil Service job description is available upon request in the District Office. TEACHER AIDE(S) - There are currently two vacancies for Teacher Aides to support students with disabilities in a regular classroom setting as per IEP requirements, work closely with the classroom teacher to meet children’s needs, and other duties as may be assigned. The Teacher Aides will work under the supervision of the Director of Special Programs.
