VACANCIES FOR 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR

ELA TEACHER - Seeking a motivated, enthusiastic ELA teacher for a team-centered middle school position to begin in September 2017.  This individual will need to provide engaging, reflective instruction using the NYS learning standards as a base.  Must hold ELA certification.  Apply via OLAS by March 31, 2017.
 

CURRENT NON-TEACHING VACANCIES

LOCAL AREA NETWORK SUPPORT SPECIALISTThis is a new position replacing the former position of LAN Tech that was filled by an employee of OCM BOCES.  This is a full time 12-month position responsible for performing specialized work in the design, development and implementation of a local area network.  This is a competitive position requiring the successful completion of a Civil Service exam.  A Civil Service job description including minimum qualifications and online application is available on the Tompkins County Personnel website.  If you would like to be considered for this position, please complete the Civil Service application via the Tompkins County Personnel website and notify the District Office that you have done so by April 7, 2017.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, LEVEL 3 - Anticipated vacancy to serve as receptionist and secretary for Middle School office.  Seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented professional for fast-paced school office.  Must enjoy adolescent children and working with a team.  Experience with School Tool a plus.  This is a full time, 12-month position to work under the direct supervision of the Middle School Principal.  It is a competitive Civil Service position for which a current list of eligible does exist.  A Civil Service job description and other information are available upon request in the District Office.  Please respond, in writing, to the District Office AND complete the on-line application at the Tompkins County Personnel (www.tompkinscivilservice.org/civilservice) by March 24, 2017.

TEACHER AIDE - Current vacancy exists for a part-time, permanent 10-month Teacher Aide who will be assigned to monitor children in daycare and after school program. This position will be assigned to an afternoon shift (12:00-6:00 p.m.) and will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Please complete the Civil Service application via the Tompkins County Personnel website and notify the District Office that you have done so by February 10, 2017.
