ANTICIPATED VACANCIES FOR 2014-15 SCHOOL YEAR

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - Work with students in grades 6-8 who have an IEP, experience with co-teaching at the middle school level preferred. Appropriate grade level NYS Certification in Special Education required.
COACHES - coaching vacancies for the 2014-15 season in Volleyball (JV and Varsity), Basketball (Modified Boys and Modified Girls), and Softball (JV and Varsity. Must hold applicable certification to coach in NYS.

SCHOOL MONITOR -
There are currently two unfilled vacancies for School Monitors to supervise students during lunch and recess. The people in these positions will facilitate a positive climate by supporting social and emotional growth in young people. Prior experience working with students is preferred. These are labor class, part time, 10-month positions working under the direct supervision of the building principal. One position is anticipated to be five days per week, while the other will be two days per week. A Civil Service job description is available upon request in the District Office. - There are currently three vacancies for part-time, permanent 10-month Teacher Aides. The people in these positions would be assigned to work in the childcare program. Duties include supervising and nurturing children during indoor and outdoor play, naptime and various other activities. Some classroom maintenance and activity preparation are required. - Duties of this position include repairing and maintaining buses according to DOT standards, mounting tires, assisting DOT inspector with bus inspections, cleaning and maintaining bus bodies and interiors, and driving school bus on a regular basis. The successful candidate will need to have two years of experience as an auto mechanic and hold the B/PS license (training provided if necessary). Salary dependant on experience).
