VACANCIES FOR 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR

ELA TEACHER - Seeking a motivated, enthusiastic ELA teacher for a team-centered middle school position to begin in September 2017.  This individual will need to provide engaging, reflective instruction using the NYS learning standards as a base.  Must hold ELA certification.  Apply via OLAS by March 31, 2017.

SPANISH TEACHER - Seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Spanish teacher for a team-centered middle school position to begin in September 2017.  Must hold NYS Spanish certification.  Apply via OLAS by April 14, 2017.

FT CLEANER - There is currently one vacancy for a full time 12-month Cleaner to clean schools as assigned and provide maintenance as directed.  Duties include general cleaning of school buildings--classrooms, bathrooms, offices and hallways—and occasional minor maintenance tasks.  May also be required to set up and provide support during special events.  Other duties as assigned.  This  individual will work under the direct supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor.  May be assigned to evening shift.  Please complete the on-line application at the Tompkins County Personnel  by April 17, 2017 and notify the District Office that you have done so.

PT CLEANER(S) -There are currently two vacancies for 10-month Cleaners to work approximately 15 hours per week, Monday-Friday, for a lunchtime shift.  Duties include cleaning cafeteria tables and floors between lunch groups.  Will also assist custodian with final daily cleaning.  May be assigned other duties as needed.  Will work under the direct supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor.  Please complete the Civil Service application via the Tompkins County Personnel website and notify the District Office that you have done so by April 24, 2017.

TEACHER AIDE - Current vacancy exists for a full-time, permanent 10-month Teacher Aide who will be assigned to assist with three-year old (TLC) and wrap-around care. Successful candidate must be patient, love children, and work well with others.  This position will replace hours previously worked by Cheyenne Webster and will work under the direct supervision of the Childcare Program Coordinator. Please complete the Civil Service application via the Tompkins County Personnel website and notify the District Office that you have done so by April 17, 2017.
 
LOCAL AREA NETWORK SUPPORT SPECIALISTThis is a new position replacing the former position of LAN Tech that was filled by an employee of OCM BOCES.  This is a full time 12-month position responsible for performing specialized work in the design, development and implementation of a local area network.  Salary Range $17.70-$25.00/hr. This is a competitive position requiring the successful completion of a Civil Service exam.  A Civil Service job description including minimum qualifications and online application is available on the Tompkins County Personnel website.  If you would like to be considered for this position, please complete the Civil Service application via the Tompkins County Personnel website and notify the District Office that you have done so by May 12, 2017.

PTCLEANER - There is currently one vacancy for a 10-month Cleaner to work approximately 17.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday evenings.  Duties include cleaning areas in the school building and preparing classrooms, restrooms, offices and hallways for daily use. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor.  Please complete the Civil Service application via the Tompkins County Personnel website and notify the District Office that you have done so by April 10, 2017.

TEACHER AIDE - Current vacancy exists for a part-time, permanent 10-month Teacher Aide who will be assigned to monitor children in daycare and after school program. This position will be assigned to an afternoon shift (12:00-6:00 p.m.) and will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Please complete the Civil Service application via the Tompkins County Personnel website and notify the District Office that you have done so by February 10, 2017.
