CURRENT VACANCIES:

LIBRARIAN - The Newfield Central School District is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill an anticipated vacancy for a full-time, probationary Librarian/Media Specialist. Appy via OLAS by June 29, 2017.
 Minimum Qualifications:

  • NYS certification as a School Library/Media Specialist at the time of application
  • Strong communication and technical skills
  • The ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines
  • Maintain and support web-based services and e-resources
  • Sustain comprehensive fiscal management of library budgets and purchasing
  • Ensure technology is used to access and interpret texts and materials
  • An ability to work with students from grades 6 through 12

LTS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - Seeking a certified special education teacher for a year-long substitute position beginning September 2017.  Successful candidate will provide special education services at the middle school (7th grade) level in integrated co-taught ELA and Math classes as well as providing resource support.  Apply via OLAS by June 1, 2017.

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - Anticipated vacancy for a certified special education teacher to provide services to 9-12 classified students in a variety of settings including integrated co-taught classes and resource room support.  Additional certifications and/or experience a plus.  Apply via OLAS by June 1, 2017.

TEACHER ASSISTANT - Looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a full-time, probationary Teaching Assistant vacancy.  A skilled teaching assistant is needed at the High School who can aid students in our College and Career Readiness lab.  Candidates should possess a strong background in technology, software, and collaboration. Apply via OLAS by June 29, 2017
 



CURRENT NON-TEACHING VACANCIES

CLEANER
There is currently one vacancy for a 10-month Cleaner to work approximately 17.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday evenings.  Duties include cleaning areas in the school building and preparing classrooms, restrooms, offices and hallways for daily use.  This position will be under the direct supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor.  Please complete the Civil Service application via the Tompkins County Personnel website (https://www.tompkinscivilservice.org/civilservice/vacancies) and notify the District Office that you have done so by July 7, 2017.
