SCHOOL TAX NOTICE

You will be receiving your 2006 – 2007 school tax bills in the mail on or near the first of September. Tax payments may be made in person at the Newfield branch only of Tioga State Bank or mailed to: Tax Office, Newfield Central School, 247 Main Street, Newfield, New York 14867. Tioga State Bank lobby hours are Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. ‘til 4:00 p.m. and Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. ‘til 6:00 p.m.

Again this year there are two options for making your tax payment. Option A is a full payment without penalty from September 1st through September 30th, or a full payment with a 2% penalty from October 1st through October 31st. NO PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER OCTOBER 31ST.

Option B is an installment plan with the first installment payment on or before September 15th. The second installment is due March 1st to the Tompkins County Division of Finance, 125 E. Court Street, Ithaca, New York 14850.

Property owners are responsible for tax payments, whether they are received in the mail or not. If you do not receive your taxes in a timely way, please be sure to contact the Tax Office at Newfield Central School, 564-9955 ext. 4114 or email your request to rslator@newfieldschools.org.
